Ashwagandha – The Indian Ginseng
Ashwagandha – The Indian Ginseng
Name: Ashwagandha, Ashwaganda, Withania Somnifera, Winter Cherry.
Ashwagandha is extensively used in Ayurveda as a superb remedy for nervous exhaustion. It is often called Indian Ginseng for its tonifying properties. Unlike ginseng it is not stimulating, but rather relaxing. That allows not to be afraid of over stimulation by taking the herb over a long period of time. The other avail of Ashwagandha is its much lower cost in comparison with ginseng.
Part used: Root.
Energetics: bitter, astringent, sweet.
Decreases Vata and Kapha, in excess can increase Pitta if Ama (toxins) is present.
Ashwagandha is the best rejuvenative herb, particularly for the muscles, marrow and semen. It is also one of the best herbs for calming Vata. It helps revitalize the male reproductive system and works on both men and women in supporting healthy joints and proper function of the adrenals. Ashwagandha is used in all conditions of weakness and tissue deficiency in children, the elderly, those debilitated by diseases, those suffering from overwork, lack of sleep, or nervous exhaustion.
Ashwagandha inhibits aging and catalyzes the anabolic processes of the body. It is one of the best herbs for the mind, nurturing, clarifying, calming, and promoting deep dreamless sleep.

Hello, I am into urine therapy. I want to know if it is okay to take Ashwagandha on a daily basis? and can you kindly advise some benefits of doing so if taken.
Please read my article on urine therapy https://ayurvedaplace.com/?s=amaroli. It reflects my opinion on this subject.
I do not recommend using any herbs while taken urine. At least ask your urine therapy doctor.
