Dr. B. M. Hegde speaks on the idea of how the ayurvedic medicines are far better for the human body than western medicines. He talks about important theories on how the human body actually functions with a given environment and how Ayurveda blends itself with the human body.
Dr. Hegde speaks about the importance of meta medicines which would eventually decide the health factor of humans on earth.

good afternoon everybody can you hear me

00:08
at the back well friends it is nice

00:11
seeing you this afternoon and you must

00:13
have been tired at the fag end of the

00:15
day hearing so many speeches either

00:18
right now I’m not going to bore you they

00:22
want me to talk on a new subject called

00:26
Western medicine which they call as

00:28
modern medicine we say we the ancient

00:31
Indian system of medicine to know the

00:34
difference you must first know the

00:36
difference between human body how it

00:38
works and how it can be mended when it

00:41
goes wrong science is change if this

00:45
does not change it is not science

00:46
anything that doesn’t change is religion

00:48
what changes is science and the science

00:51
is today’s science doesn’t agree with

00:55
what we all learnt and you still learn

00:58
in colleges the conventional physics

01:01
chemistry and biology but the new

01:05
physics quantum physics has uprooted the

01:08
whole thing and that makes it easier for

01:11
you to understand the human body now we

01:13
think in the Western medicine in Western

01:16
medical non science we think human body

01:19
is made up of different parts like you

01:22
know you have automobile engineers

01:23
mechanical engineers with different

01:26
parts you make a car first fix the

01:28
chassis then the body then the engine

01:31
and things like that that’s how it is

01:33
made so that is not how the human body

01:36
is made if you understand in

01:38
evolutionary biology you are the one

01:40
cell one single nucleated cell when you

01:42
made only mothers who on the first day

01:44
that’s called the zygote the first

01:47
nucleated cell and this cell one cell

01:50
divides and divides and divides and

01:53
today you are a colony of 120 trillion

01:57
such cells and each one of itself is a

02:00
human being capable of doing all that

02:02
you do so much so you are not I your V

02:08
you’re a colony of so many people

02:11
this difference please remember that

02:12
when you say I and that I that feeling

02:16
illness starts when you have we that

02:21
feeling wellness comes in and this is

02:24
where no human being is independent

02:31
remember that however big you are how

02:34
much money you have you still have

02:36
dependent on others because inside your

02:39
body for every single cell that is human

02:42
you have ten times cells which are germ

02:45
cells without these germ cells you

02:48
cannot survive at all between the mouth

02:51
and the anus you are 10 to the power 13

02:53
germs and in the mouth you have 3

02:56
billion germs and if even a few germs

02:58
die you get completely disorganized and

03:03
so germs are not our enemies germs are

03:05
our friends in short we are germs for

03:09
120 trillion cells you have 360 trillion

03:15
germ cells and we you know we inherit

03:19
from our parents because we say oh you

03:20
are like your father you’re like your

03:22
mother etc the inheritance from genetic

03:24
inheritance from the parents is just

03:26
just 23,000 human cells in a genome but

03:32
you have same genome you have two and a

03:33
half trillion germs genes metabolic

03:36
German ohms wire in ohms and all kinds

03:38
of things and you can imagine the

03:40
contribution from our parents to you he

03:42
is twenty three thousand divided by two

03:44
and a half trillion so hardly matters so

03:48
it is not the genes that run your body

03:50
as you think in the olden science in the

03:52
new biology it is the environment that

03:55
runs it that is where it is very

03:57
important to know the environment is

03:59
very important for disease or disease

04:02
correction or treatment now in the

04:04
Western medicine what we do is we have

04:06
quick fixes supposing you have a disease

04:08
immediately we give a quick freeze and

04:10
we think it cures the problem no it

04:12
doesn’t actually it creates another

04:14
problem in short I always tell my

04:17
students there is no pill for every ill

04:19
but there is an ill following every pill

04:22
did you get this that’s called adverse

04:25
as a matter of fact audit now shows in

04:27
the West that the leading cause of death

04:29
is not cancer or heart attack but

04:32
adverse drug reactions is called ADR

04:35
because we know in the westerns of non

04:38
science one drug for one disease under

04:41
ideal circumstances which is called

04:42
evidence-based medicine but

04:45
unfortunately in a patient we do not

04:46
give one drug some of the patients if

04:48
you see it’s a laundry list of drugs

04:50
about 1815 drugs and there is no science

04:53
to say what happens when you combine two

04:55
drugs but you know how people are alive

04:57
a study showed that when you give one

05:00
tablet or patient and tell him take it

05:02
daily the remembrance or the compliance

05:05
is only 73% 27% forget they don’t take

05:10
correctly now when you make it two

05:12
tablets a day it falls to 42% when you

05:15
make it more than three tablets a day it

05:17
comes down to 22% which means a 78% of

05:23
people whom you prescribe this multiple

05:25
laundry list they don’t take those

05:26
medicines if they did they wouldn’t be

05:28
here with every single penny has like

05:32
for example I will give you a very small

05:34
thing every painkiller that you take

05:36
what’s called NSAIDs non-steroidal

05:39
anti-inflammatory drugs can give you a

05:41
heart attack up to five years from the

05:44
time you take the medicine up to next

05:46
five years you can get a heart attack

05:47
somebody says oh he is fine he is very

05:50
healthy why did you get a heart attack

05:51
he must have been taking every day non

05:54
it’s a pain killing drugs if you have a

05:55
headache one pop a pill if you have a

05:57
backache you pop a pill and this also

06:01
damages the kidney one of the commonest

06:03
causes for renal dialysis today

06:06
here the NSAIDs which damage the kidney

06:09
in short the the linear reduction is

06:16
reductionism I I don’t think I follow

06:18
you people I should fix way what is the

06:20
direction we have to look at the human

06:23
you can’t take a bit and examine it like

06:26
for example somebody gets a cancer what

06:28
do we do we take the biopsy the cancer a

06:31
bit to the cancer and then smear it on

06:34
the classmate by then the cells are all

06:37
and stain into the years in him

06:39
excellent so you poison the cells and

06:40
then when the dries up you put it on the

06:42
microscope and look at it now the cells

06:44
look horrible because they’re distorted

06:46
but you cannot know what that cell is

06:50
because a normal cell and a cancer cell

06:52
work alike remember that I will repeat

06:55
that a normal cell and a cancer cell

06:58
work alike and I don’t know how anybody

07:01
can kill a cancer cell without killing

07:02
the normal cell I will give you an

07:05
analogy supposing a bird comes into your

07:07
house a new bird comes into your house

07:09
to know what the bird is where did it

07:12
come from where is it going what is

07:13
going to happen to the pill but what we

07:15
do in the Western science is kill the

07:18
bird by upset and then put it in the

07:20
microscope and study the cells and say

07:22
this word came from so and so that’s

07:24
exactly what we do in cancer when we say

07:26
we have a cancer which we describe as

07:28
metastatic anaplastic means that that

07:30
Citra doesn’t tell you anything about

07:32
the cancer so a great biologist Nobel

07:35
laureate albert szent-gyorgyi wrote I

07:38
quote I do not know what cancer is

07:41
because cancer cell works like an

07:43
exactly normal cell and I do not know

07:46
the distinction between the two and I

07:47
don’t know how to treat a cancer cell

07:49
without killing the normal cell see this

07:52
is where we are in western reductions

07:53
medicine come to our way there the

07:56
mother of all medical wisdoms in the

07:58
world probably one of the oldest along

08:01
with various other systems in the East

08:03
like Chinese Tibetan and also a Tibetan

08:06
of course is a part of the Indian system

08:07
but also the Egyptian system now all

08:11
these systems started long long ago when

08:14
this reductionist science did not come

08:16
to us from the West the reductionist

08:18
science started in 1742 with that little

08:21
boy 17 year old mathematician in Rene

08:24
Descartes a who say cuchito a ribosome

08:27
because I think I am if he had

08:31
understood it a little later and little

08:32
wider he should have said I am thinking

08:35
and that’s why I am able to live what he

08:38
says is I run this world this is the

08:40
problem with us in reductionist science

08:41
this world in the new quantum physics

08:48
and what you can grasp in short quantum

08:51
physicists say we can comprehend much

08:53
more than what we can grasp the usual

08:56
conventional science his duty or five

08:59
senses and that is not the science

09:02
because five senses do not tell you

09:03
anything and what you know in

09:05
conventional science is 5% of this world

09:07
5% and 95% you don’t know but when you

09:10
come to quantum physics you seem to know

09:13
the whole lot and iyer weather is based

09:16
on quantum physics worldview which takes

09:19
into consideration the whole world and

09:21
you know surroundings and this is very

09:23
important to know about anybody’s

09:25
illness or wellness because unless you

09:28
know that you will not be able to

09:30
consider how to treat it or I wouldn’t

09:32
want to use the word treat how to manage

09:34
an illness so when once the human body

09:37
is afflicted with a list we have to find

09:40
out lot of things the most important

09:42
parts of the human body is his

09:44
consciousness which is called the mind

09:46
in simple English and where is the mind

09:53
no the mind is not in the brain I just

09:56
want you to remember that most of us

09:58
think the mind is in the brain the mind

10:00
is not in the brain because brain is

10:02
such a small thing it can’t hold brain

10:05
mind is called consciousness awareness

10:08
in the same sanskrit it is called go

10:10
Chara go Chara Sanskrit is a fantastic

10:13
language which gives you a comprehensive

10:15
idea of the subject go Chara

10:17
could also mean the path on which the

10:19
cows walk but go tara is the awareness

10:22
consciousness and you have your own

10:25
consciousness is a part of the universal

10:26
consciousness and this consciousness

10:28
works in short your human body is just

10:32
mind only so mind is not in the brain

10:35
mind is in the body and now wonder

10:37
physics says matter is energy and energy

10:39
is matter he is equal to em and this was

10:42
known to the Indian with science

10:45
including Ayurveda for thousands of

10:47
years if you if you know the stanza in

10:50
operation it says energy that energy is

10:55
you or energy and the body is energy and

10:58
body is not matter and if any

11:01
subtlest and subtlest and subtlest level

11:03
and I found one day there is no matter

11:06
at all and hun spit at your rights I

11:09
call this as E is equal to M as a

11:13
duality there is no duality between the

11:15
two and when you say it is a duality he

11:18
says I am a child in front of his Indian

11:20
sages who thousands of years ago called

11:21
it as equator and it’s so beautiful he

11:24
says matter is energy energies matter in

11:27
this turns any quotes third stanza but

11:29
here on Thursday Putin emits inside and

11:32
jerem attend I’m a mature energy moves

11:34
but you all look solid there’s nothing

11:36
solid about you it is only Maya is

11:39
your body is an illusion of your mind

11:41
and he says sukshma with a atomic name

11:44
it’s so subtle that nobody can see

11:45
nobody can see an electron why can’t I

11:48
see an electron electronic students why

11:51
can’t I see an electron when you see you

11:55
can’t see God if you go to be a C or a

11:57
MSC then you say God doesn’t exist

11:59
because I can’t see but you have not

12:01
seen an electron and you describe the

12:03
electron in several ways and got Nobel

12:04
Prize you accept that right you can’t

12:08
see an electron because to see anything

12:10
to see you a few photons must leave you

12:13
and hit my retina they don’t like and

12:14
see you I become aware of your existence

12:16
but if one photon leaves an electron it

12:18
no longer becomes electron so nobody can

12:21
see an electron that’s what it says

12:22
sukshma with atomic name do rest them

12:25
when you do not know you don’t know and

12:27
you get the check when you know it’s

12:28
inside you that support energy and this

12:31
energy is you and this energy is the one

12:34
that when it is already we get disease

12:36
when it is normal and very nicely

12:38
balanced you are healthy now this is a

12:42
concept of IRA IRA that doesn’t say

12:43
there is a disease you treat it no it

12:45
says first osseous was the rationale

12:47
preserve the Wellness of the he’ll be

12:49
which is very easy cheap and more

12:52
profitable than treating a disease but

12:55
the Western medicine is after money and

12:57
for everything we want money we want to

13:00
collect money and not to make money and

13:02
make money is our no problem Western

13:06
medical Hippocrates was the father of

13:08
Western medicine said do not to make

13:10
money in the sickroom remember that do

13:13
not make money in the sickroom but to

13:15
what happens if you are ill you go to a

13:17
corporate hospital you see you will come

13:19
out with or without a disease but

13:21
without your properties America is

13:24
feeling the pinch in a big way and now

13:26
English NHS where free medicine is given

13:29
is in real trouble energy is almost coal

13:32
collapsing so they want Eastern medicine

13:35
to come into these places that is why I

13:37
our weather is becoming very popular in

13:39
the West I just came back from Germany a

13:42
where Germans and all the East are eight

13:45
Eastern European nations they want to

13:47
have Ayurvedic hospitals in their

13:48
country so they had called this meeting

13:50
to get ideas as to how to go about it

13:53
and you will be surprised in January we

13:55
have a meeting in London and in April we

13:58
have got a meeting in Brussels so all

14:00
these places there now because money has

14:02
become very very good now there is no

14:04
limit for Western medicine quick fixes

14:06
supposing everybody wants a heart

14:08
transplant to be given to a heart

14:09
patient where will you get this money

14:11
way the money from everybody wants a

14:13
liver transplant or liver disease

14:15
thinking that human body is a machine

14:17
like the motorcar where if this

14:19
carburettor is gone you put a new

14:21
carburetor that does not happen in the

14:22
human body you will be surprised to know

14:25
that this one cell that I told you that

14:26
you wear when your mother’s womb that is

14:28
called a zygote that one cell divides

14:32
into 120 trillion cells but the beauty

14:34
is it does not fully divide only a

14:37
partial wall comes in the cell and one

14:39
becomes to another partial wall comes to

14:42
be comes for another partial wall comes

14:43
is 8 16 32 and so on and so forth so

14:46
much so at the end of the day when you

14:48
are 120 trillion cells inside you you

14:51
are what is called a since CTM you are

14:54
just one sheet and all cells are

14:57
connected you would be surprised you

14:59
take a brain cylinders genome and a

15:02
heart cell it is genome they’re

15:03
identical to cells one in the brain one

15:06
in the heart might have identical do you

15:07
know which gives me a new idea which I

15:11
am just having an idea I have just put

15:12
it as a hypothesis and published it that

15:15
if this happens we can we do not have to

15:17
get someone else’s organ to transplant

15:20
we can get our own organs and Transplant

15:23
it to us and those organs can grow like

15:25
for example you need a small bit to the

15:26
liver for liver transplant

15:28
someone else it may be from your mother

15:30
father husband wife or child anybody in

15:34
stir that we probably can take a bitter

15:36
than llama liver from your own part your

15:39
own body and then transplant it to you

15:41
other this is part of the liver I am

15:42
just saying this speculation because

15:44
we’re all related these are all

15:46
connected and it’s not different cells

15:48
that you are 123 M cells the same cell

15:51
which is divided but because of what is

15:53
called cosmic you know morphic resonance

15:56
morphic resonance the word i do not want

15:58
to explain because it is a very

15:59
complicated word morphic resonance gives

16:01
you the the blueprint of every molecule

16:04
to an atom so you know when the energy

16:07
and matter interchange in the human body

16:10
they do it 1,024 times a minute this

16:14
called the planks for 1,024 times a

16:17
second max one constant and that means

16:21
each time the energy becomes matter they

16:23
energy knows the blueprint of the matter

16:25
and if you take this energy to change

16:28
the blueprint to a normal body it

16:30
becomes out this called quantum healing

16:31
if anyone ever want to know more about

16:33
quantum healing one of the processes of

16:35
quantum physics in in Eugene in the

16:37
United States has written a book called

16:39
quantum doctor if you read that it is a

16:42
very nice book which tells you how to

16:43
cure yourself and this is the old

16:45
Ayurvedic system because our way the

16:47
believes in a human body as a closed

16:50
system in systems biology because you

16:52
engineers understand systems biology

16:53
closed system is a system where

16:56
everything happens on it is not like a

16:58
geezer you switch it on water gets

17:01
heated when you don’t use it gets cooled

17:04
and then it gets heated when you need it

17:05
and always you have hot water but the

17:08
open system is like if olden days bucket

17:10
a bucket of cold water we want hot water

17:12
per bath you put a heater yourself and

17:15
when the water is hot you remove the

17:16
heater so you require an outside

17:18
intervention for every mistake in the

17:20
human body that was the original

17:22
thinking of Western medicine but today

17:24
in Ayurveda and that is coming to the

17:26
Western medicine also that eeveelution

17:28
biology tells us that a human system is

17:30
a closed system which when you are born

17:32
the system has got an engrained doctor

17:35
himself which is called the immune

17:37
system so most of the time if not all

17:42
but in case the doctor fails then only

17:45
symptoms come and you have to go to the

17:46
artificial doctors like me but normally

17:50
if you can keep your immune system good

17:52
and you will be absolutely fine without

17:55
any outside intervention because it is a

17:57
closed system now very interestingly

17:59
this concept is alien to Western

18:03
Western medicine thinks it is an open

18:05
system for everything I must interfere

18:08
so Western system is bad but you can

18:11
throw it out lock stock and barrel the

18:14
water is bad so you cannot throw the

18:16
baby away because for quick fixes

18:18
emergency quick fixes like I fall under

18:20
the car let us say break my bowl I can’t

18:22
sell take away the end to your yoga and

18:25
pranayama and get better nor the bones

18:26
will bones will hurt us it supposing I

18:29
become unconscious and I am taken to the

18:31
intensive care unit I require some

18:32
intensive quick fixes but mind you this

18:35
is only 2% of the Sikh population in a

18:38
98% can do make do with the I rather

18:41
like alternate systems there’s so many

18:43
other systems it is not just either way

18:44
the homeopathy Ayurveda the unani

18:48
Yunnan is a fantastic thing which

18:50
started in Arab countries and it is done

18:53
so all these systems are good things so

18:55
there should not be a monopoly for one

18:57
system what we should have is a

18:59
judicious combination of all systems

19:01
where emergency quick fixes come from

19:03
modern medicine Western medicine and all

19:05
other things come from various other

19:08
systems and we have put together a

19:10
system which is called the future

19:12
medicine or what is called meta medicine

19:14
you know Aristotle wrote physics first

19:17
and then psychology next and is called

19:19
metaphysics is psychology meta is after

19:21
so meta medicine is the future medicine

19:23
in the future medicine will have to be

19:25
perforce a combination because Western

19:27
medicine alone has become prohibitively

19:29
expensive and you cannot go on with that

19:31
all that I wanted to make out is that if

19:34
you combine various systems of medicine

19:36
and a judicious combination authenticate

19:38
everything that you do you shouldn’t be

19:40
you must authenticate scientifically

19:42
everything that you want to incorporate

19:43
it with this new system called meta

19:45
medicine I think the future is very

19:47
bright for mankind on this planet thank
