The Navel is a Sacred Place on our Body
Ayurveda calls the navel the gateway to life because through the navel we were connected to our mother before birth. Our navel (nabhi in Hindi) is an incredible gift that the Creator gave us.
Our navel is definitely an amazing thing! According to scientific evidence, after a person’s death, the navel is still warm and may throb slightly for 3 to 18 hours.
We already know that when a woman conceives a child, her navel provides nourishment to the child through the navel.
All of our veins are connected to the navel, and this makes it the center of our body. The navel is life itself!
All energy channels intersect here, and in China they believe that it is in the navel that all our experiences and nervous tension accumulate. Oriental medicine also claims that correct manipulation of the navel can save a person from many troubles.
A couple of drops of essential oil, a few massage movements – and health problems can go away.
How it works:
Influence on biologically active points is the basis of oriental medicine. The navel is one of these points, because this is where our energy flows intersect. Thanks to the right action on this area and the use of essential oil, you can get rid of many problems.
1. Problems with digestion.
Using essential oil, namely applying it to the navel, can relieve digestive problems. This method can be used for diarrhea, poisoning, nausea, bloating, and constipation. Peppermint or ginger oil works well for this. You just need to mix it with the base oil and drop it on your navel.
2. Painful menstruation.
Essential oils are very effective in treating menstrual pain. Plus, regular massage and the use of oils can help normalize your cycle. Peppermint, cypress, sage and ginger oils work well for this.
3. Liver problems.
Experts advise using lemon peel oil.
4. Fertility issues (see also Conceiving Righteous Children)
Sage essential oil, rubbed into and around the navel, helps to increase fertility in women and men.
5. Loss of energy
Since the navel is our energy center, it can be used to restore energy balance. Rapeseed oil will help with this. Apply a small amount of base oil mixed with essential oil to your navel and massage gently. Regular treatments will restore your energy, help you find inspiration, and awaken your creativity.
Applying various oils to the navel heals dry eyes, poor vision, pancreas, cracked heels and lips, keeps the face radiant, hair shiny, relieves chills, numbness, joint pain, dry skin and more.
How to do massage:
Add a couple drops of carrier oil mixed with a suitable essential oil on the navel and begin to massage slowly in concentric circles clockwise and counterclockwise.
This simple essential oil massage works wonders. This can be done up to three times a day, but again, very delicate and neat.
How much oil:
When rubbing in essential oils, the proportion should be observed: 1-3 drops of essential oil per 1 Tbsp. spoon of base oil.
Base oil:
You can choose the oil you like: jojoba oil, castor oil, coconut, or sesame oil as a base. You can also choose the oil according to your dosha type.
Vata: avocado, olive, almonds, walnuts, or castor oil.
Pitta: almond, coconut, sunflower, or olive oil.
Kapha: safflower, mustard, grapeseed, or almond oil.
How long:
The course of treatment with oils should be at least two months.
The modern science of essential oils:
Today, scientists have come to the conclusion that certain essential oils can stop the development of diseases. Researchers have found that the frequency of vibrations of the cells of the human body can speak of its condition. In a healthy body, the frequency is usually 62 to 78 MHz, and the disease frequency is 58 MHz.
Negative thoughts can also affect the vibration frequency of your body’s cells! Research confirms that negative thinking can lower this frequency by an average of 12 MHz. Positive thoughts, on the other hand, increase the oscillation frequency by an average of 10 MHz. So think positively!
Bruce Tainio, head of the Department of Agriculture at Eastern Washington University, is studying the effects of essential oils on the human body. He concluded that most aroma oils have an oscillation frequency of 52 MHz, and that rose essential oil reaches its highest level – 320 MHz!
TODAY’S TIP:
You can place a small oil dropper next to your bed, put a few drops on your belly button, and massage it before bed.
This will allow you to conveniently dispense oils and prevent accidental spill.
